Offshore Sailing

The Avalon Yacht Club has a small number of keelboats which sail in the ocean waters off of Avalon, NJ.  The club organizes informal group events as well as one invitational race each year which is held in August.  The Avalon Cup is a 12 mile distance race sailed around the bell buoy at Avalon Shoals.
